EDUCATION

Our Goal

Every student in WNY has a clear path to a thriving future.

The Need

Students in underserved communities in Buffalo and Niagara Falls often lack access to consistent support, early development resources, and clear pathways to college or skilled trades.

    • Niagara Falls: Educational attainment lags behind NYS averages, highlighting structural barriers to college readiness and career mobility.

    • Buffalo: The Erie County Draft CEDS (2022–2026) reports that only 21% of residents hold a bachelor’s degree, below the statewide average, indicating the need for stronger pathways to advanced education, credentials, and trades.

    • Service providers and youth-focused supports are unevenly distributed across high-poverty neighborhoods, limiting consistent access to mentoring, academic enrichment, and career pipeline programs.

    • Workforce-aligned education initiatives are needed to prepare students for trades, college, and high-demand sectors.
