Executive Director John Camardo leads KCCD with a vision for collaborative transformation and a deep commitment to community flourishing across WNY.  Our Board and Advisory Team is a committed group of pastors, business professionals, nonprofit leaders, and community advocates who guide KCCD’s mission and ensure accountability, stewardship, and impact.  

John Comardo

John Camardo is an operational & organizational leader who presently works with non-profit and faith-based organizations to offer insight and a passion for innovation as well as a proven track record in strategizing, planning, designing, implementing and maintaining values-driven organizational programs and initiatives. John believes that organizational leadership, effective communication and clarity on organizational values and behaviors is critically important to the success and sustainability of any business or organization and has focused his vocational, ministry and volunteer efforts in this direction. 

John has relevant experience working in operations & administration within a global financial services organization. John currently serves in senior leadership within a regional non-profit religious organization and on the Board of a local non-profit social services organization. 

John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from California Coast University and is a certified consultant for the Workplace Big Five Personality Assessment. 

John has served (along with his wife) as a certified foster parent in New York State and continues to volunteer as a licensed US Soccer coach. 

John is married to Donna and has four children, two of which have been adopted through foster care. John’s family currently resides in Williamsville, NY.

Jerrica DeLaney

Jerrica DeLaney is a Program Manager in the Housing & Community Development industry, where she leverages her skills in human service management, community development, grant writing, and nonprofit leadership to create meaningful impact. With a heart for service, Jerrica embodies the principles of servant leadership both professionally and personally.

She co-leads a women’s Bible study in the City of Buffalo and serves faithfully on her church’s prayer team, fostering spiritual growth and community connection. Guided by her faith, Jerrica’s purpose is clear: to work, love, and serve to the glory of God and the good of His people.

Leroy Wiggins

Born and raised in Buffalo NY, Leroy Wiggins grew up on the East Side of Buffalo. Post high school, Leroy went on to Virginia State University where he received a Mechanical Engineering degree. He then spent 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry in various levels of engineering/engineering project management for Bristol Myers-Squibb and Contract Pharmaceuticals Ltd.  

In 2011 he resigned from corporate America and became the Men’s Ministry Pastor and Small Groups Pastor at The Chapel.  Shortly thereafter, he began leading mission teams to Haiti and eventually the Dominican Republic. Fast forward to 2014 when he began to serve as the Campus Pastor at The Chapel at Cheektowaga.   

Over the years he has had the privilege of serving on and leading various boards in the WNY community; of which one is Kingdom Come Community Development (KCCD).    

He and his wife (Iliana) of 30 years are the very proud parents of two adult daughters (Oli and Vanessa).

Rick Kennedy

Rick joined Hodgson Russ as an associate in 1983 and became a partner in 1990. He concentrated his practice on complex environmental matters and the law governing lawyers. Rick also served the firm as its co-general counsel and loss prevention partner, and as a member of its board of directors and compensation committee for more than two decades. He served as the firm's managing partner from 2016 to February 2022.

Ryan Kozey

Ryan Kozey brings a wealth of leadership, research, and strategic expertise to the board, working to help faith-based organizations assess mission success and strategize growth using their extensive background in organizational assessment, quantitative statistics, and demographic research. With a diverse career spanning roles such as Director of Client Delivery at BAZ Group and Pastor of Missional Behavior and Director of Strategic Initiatives at The Chapel in Buffalo, NY,

Dr. Kozey has led data-driven initiatives and overseen impactful projects, bolstered by a PhD in Organizational Communication & Assessment (University at Buffalo, 2008) and a Master’s in Bible/Biblical Studies (Liberty University, 2016).

Magdalena Nichols

Magdalena Nichols, PhD, MHA brings 14+ years of experience in nonprofit and healthcare executive leadership, including C-suite experience at Jericho Road Ministries, where she serves as Chief Operating Officer and previously served as Interim CEO and Interim CFO, overseeing multi-site operations with a $30M+ annual budget. Prior to that she served at Erie County Medical Center Corporation (ECMCC) where she directed primary care and urgent care operations, led revenue and performance optimization initiatives, and strengthened regulatory and accreditation compliance across multiple clinical sites.  

She brings a strong fundraising track record, including helping lead a successful $6M capital campaign for Jericho Road's Vive Shelter and cultivating major donors and strategic funding partnerships. Over a 10-year period, she led and executed comprehensive fundraising strategies, securing more than $20M in support from major individuals, foundations, corporations, and local, state, and federal government funding sources. Grounded in her Christian faith, her leadership reflects a values-based, equity-centered, and systems-oriented approach that aligns closely with KCCD’s commitment to collective impact and credible, mission-driven collaboration.

Carol Cassell

Carol Cassell is a native of Western New York with over 40 years of experience across the health and healthcare landscape, spanning provider organizations, payer systems, and currently working to support behavioral health services to communities in New York City and Long Island. She recently relocated to Austin, Texas, to be closer to family as she becomes a first-time grandmother. Rooted in a faith and family-centered life, Carol is passionate about serving others and strengthening communities by helping connect individuals and families to health resources. She brings strategic, operational, and financial expertise to her work, guided by a commitment to stewardship and lifelong learning. Carol is grateful to share in the mission of KCCD and looks forward to continuing to serve and grow alongside the community.

Ben Bissell

Ben Bissell is a strategic consultant and the founder of Impact Match, dedicated to turning ambitious organizational visions into tangible results. With 15 years in the trenches and over $15M in funding secured, Ben specializes in solving the "messy" operational hurdles that stall community-focused work.  

Known for a hands-on and witty coaching style, Ben helps executive leaders cut through the noise to ensure projects don’t just launch—they thrive. His expertise is rooted in a diverse career scaling everything from local nonprofits to multifaceted community initiatives. Whether he’s building a new business model from scratch or mapping out the workflows needed to navigate complex government contracts, Ben’s focus is on making the complicated feel simple. 

When he finally closes his laptop, he’s likely exploring the local food scene (where his love for eating consistently outpaces his culinary skills) or trying to keep up with his wife Lulu, their two kids, and two energetic rabbits.
